As the rain was falling on the roof of the Chapel, the Lord showed me this was a reminder of the many graces that He is always sending but so often we avoid the rain with our umbrellas and we avoid the graces because we are not open. The rain was also a reminder that we also have to suffer and have to get out of our comfort zones. So, the 40 Hours Devotion is a perfect opportunity to trust the Lord in good times and in bad. Thus the rain, mud, and inconvenience we experience is not all bad. So changing the date for 40 Hours to avoid the rain is not necessarily a good idea.
