Week 12 — Faith

"There are in the end three things that last: faith, hope, and love." —1 Corinthians 13:13

Jump to day: Sun Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat

Sunday

"Without faith, it is impossible to please Him." —Heb 11:6

Conversation:

Abba: Child, "all depends on faith, everything is grace" (Rm 4:16). You are saved by faith and not by works. Works can express faith, but they are not a substitute for faith.
Believer: Abba, I'm used to working for things. I thought salvation was my salary and heaven was my pay day.
Abba: Your efforts are like dirty rags compared to My glory (Is 64:5).

Response:

Profess that you cannot save yourself.

Monday

"We conceived and writhed in pain, giving birth to wind; salvation we have not achieved for the earth, the inhabitants of the world cannot bring it forth." —Is 26:18

Conversation:

Abba: Child, if you try to work your way into heaven, you'll work yourself into the grave and not be one step closer to heaven. You must believe that I have worked out your salvation. Let it be done to you (Lk 1:38).
Believer: Abba, I feel like a charity case, as if I'm on welfare.
Abba: You are.

Response:

Profess that you would be doomed without God.

Tuesday

"Faith is confident assurance concerning what we hope for, and conviction about things we do not see." —Heb 11:1

Conversation:

Abba: Child, "by waiting and by calm you shall be saved, in quiet and in trust your strength lies. But this you did not wish" (Is 30:15).
Believer: Abba, I haven't done anything to deserve salvation; I don't deserve any credit for this.
Abba: Yes, all the glory belongs to Me.

Response:

Profess the invisible (Heb 11:1).

Wednesday

"Faith, then, comes through hearing, and what is heard is the word of Christ." —Rm 10:17

Conversation:

Abba: Child, read, pray, and live My word. Faith will grow in your heart. I have written all this "to help you believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, so that through this faith you may have life in His name" (Jn 20:31).
Believer: Abba, thank You for the gift of faith to receive the gift of salvation.

Response:

Profess your faith in God's word.

Thursday

"I solemnly assure you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and has no inner doubts but believes that what he says will happen, shall have it done for him. I give you My word, if you are ready to believe that you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer, it shall be done for you." —Mk 11:23-24

Conversation:

Abba: Child, by faith you are the conqueror of the world (1 Jn 5:5). There are many mountains obstructing My path for your life. By faith, command them to leave.
Believer: Abba, I have trouble with the slightest bump in the road. Thank You for building up my faith from microscopic to mustard seed-size so I can move mountains.

Response:

Profess mustard seed, mountain-moving faith.

Friday

"But when the Son of Man comes, will He find any faith on the earth?" —Lk 18:8

Conversation:

Abba: Child, always remember faith is a gift. You must constantly turn to Me in faith and for faith. If you ever stop turning to Me, you will never grow in faith and will lose any faith you have. I am the Beginning and End of faith (Heb 12:2).
Believer: Abba, I have too much faith in myself. Forgive me. May I be dependent on You.

Response:

Profess faith in God alone.

Saturday

"And the life I live now is not my own; Christ is living in me. I still live my human life, but it is a life of faith in the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself for me." —Gal 2:20

Conversation:

Abba: Child, I want every moment, breath, and heartbeat to form a life of faith. Live constantly in an atmosphere of faith. When fear or anything other than faith motivates you, stop. Don't continue walking except by faith (2 Cor 5:7).
Believer: Abba, I believe in You. I give You my entire life without any reservations.

Response:

Profess Jesus is Lord.
