prophecy 2002-11-01 from paul egan

Several people submitted reflections about succession in leadership. Three examples of the succession of a leader given in Scripture:
1. Moses passed leadership to Joshua. "The Lord said to Joshua: 'I will be with you as I was with Moses; I will not leave you or forsake you. Be firm and steadfast.'" (Joshua 1:5-6)
2. Elijah passes leadership to Elisha. "Elisha said to Elijah: 'May I receive a double portion of your spirit."' (2 Kings 2:9)
3. Jesus passes leadership to Peter. "Jesus said to Peter (and the other apostles), 'Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in Me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.'" (John 14:12)
In each of these leadership successions, the leader who followed was not as personally gifted as the previous leader, but the effects of their subsequent ministries were more far-reaching. I feel the Lord intends a similar parallel for Presentation Ministries. None of us are as gifted as Father Al. That won't prevent the Lord from using us who succeed Father Al to reach more people more deeply.
