"I solemnly assure you, the man who has faith in Me will do the works I do, and greater far than these." —John 14:12
The Lord promises us that we will do far greater works than He did (Jn 14:12). We know of Jesus raising people from the dead, healing countless sick people, driving out legions of demons, walking on water, multiplying the loaves and fish, transforming the most hardened hearts, etc. How can we do these things? How can we surpass these works?
The answer Jesus gave to these questions is: "Because I go to the Father" (Jn 14:12). Because of Jesus' relationship with the Father and because of our relationship with the Father through Him, we can do far greater works than Jesus did. When Jesus went to the Father, They sent the Holy Spirit to cry out in our hearts "Abba," "Father" (Gal 4:6; Rm 8:15). When by the Holy Spirit we are secure in our Father's love, by faith we can move mountains (Mt 17:20) that Jesus never moved during His public ministry. We can bring down the strongholds that have been raised up in opposition to Christ (2 Cor 10:4). We can lead hundreds and thousands into His kingdom.
However, only those secure in the Father's love believe this and do it. Cry out "Abba," do far greater works than Jesus did, and change the world.

Praise: Sometimes when especially weary and broken, Marta spiritually climbs into the lap of her Heavenly Father and is renewed by His presence.
