Today is the Celebration of Our Lady of Good Help. The apparition Anniversary of Mary to Sister Adele Brice in 1859, in Champion, Wisconsin. The only apparition approved by the Catholic Church in the United States.Our Lady identified herself as the Queen of Heaven and instructed Sister Brice to gather and teach the children their catechism and how to sign themselves with the sign of the Cross andhow to approach the sacraments. Mary said "Go and fear nothing. I will help you."In 1871 the worst firestorms in the Midwest consumed 1.5 acres and claimed approximately2400 lives.
