(No readings)

As members of the body of Christ in the communion of saints, on Holy Saturday we should be preoccupied with the Baptisms of hundreds of thousands of catechumens throughout the world on the first day of Easter. The Holy Trinity through holy mother Church is about to give new birth to many thousands of baby Christians. As members of this expectant mother Church, we are also expectant and being filled with joy.

Inspired by these many thousands of catechumens about to be born again, we want to renew our own baptismal promises so as to give ourselves totally to the Lord in ever deeper ways. Holy Saturday will live up to its name if we take a giant step forward in holiness by our authenticity and depth in renewing the baptismal promises.

Pray, repent, forgive, obey, and prepare to renew your baptismal promises.

Prayer:  Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit, I believe in You with all my heart and soul. Therefore, I reject Satan and all his works and promises.

Promise:  (none)

Praise:  (none)
