home based communities retreat

This weekend is Fr. Al Lauer’s 6th anniversary of his entrance into eternal life…come for all or part of the time, and share in Fr. Al’s vision of “community” with us during this special retreat. Everyone currently in community, interested in joining a community, or interested in starting a community is most welcomed! PM community members are very close to ending another covenanted year for our home-based communities. Has your HBC grown over the past year? Has your HBC continued to grow closer as brothers and sisters? Are you having an impact on your parish, local area and the culture as a whole? We have a great opportunity to gather together on the weekend of October 10th and 11th and address some of these issues. The annual communities retreat will be held at St. Antoninus and will reflect the current year of St. Paul in the Catholic Church, as we delve into the Pauline theme of evangelization. There will be three teachings. The teachings will focus on personal evangelization, evangelizing through the home-based covenanted communities, and plugging into the Church's mission of evangelization. There will be time set aside for some communal fellowship and discussion. Everyone has multiple committments as we live out our busy schedules. It is important, however to continue to grow as one body. We constantly pray to be of one mind and heart and this retreat is a very important step in that process. Father Al Lauer always pointed to this communities retreat as one of the few times we get to be "family". As we approach the 6th anniversary of Father Al's passing into eternity, let us honor his memory as we commit to gather together as a community. We greatly encourage our out-of-town communities to make the tremendous sacrifice to travel and be with us this weekend. If anyone from outside of Cincinnati wishes to come, let us know and we can arrange free housing for you. Continue to pray and work for the Kingdom of God!
